About Jennifer Laird
Jennifer Laird, Ph.D., is a senior education researcher at RTI International, an independent nonprofit research institute dedicated to improving the human condition. She has 25 years of experience leading studies, focusing on evaluations of programs aimed at improving the educational experiences and outcomes of youth experiencing foster care, poverty, and other structural inequalities. She excels at partnering with community members, practitioners, system leaders, and funders to conduct evaluations that are meaningful, transparent, and methodologically sound. She is committed to supporting partners in collaboratively making sense of data emerging from research to consider together how to improve systems and practices to better support students. Her two children attended the Academy of Alameda, where Jennifer served a PTA president.
