About

My name is Ms. Ebonie Thomas and my preferred pronouns are she/her/hers. I am the Elementary School Dean of Student Culture. This is my fifth year working at the Academy and my 12th year in education.

My role consists of a wide scope of duties, as they say, an educator wears many hats. I support students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs. I facilitate behavior issues that need to be addressed, implement restorative justice practices, work closely with families, and much more.  I also plan and facilitate most elementary school-wide events, including the festival of cultures. I also work with small group lunches to help repair relationships and create new friendships.

I am very passionate about empowering our children for the future. As educators it is our job to make sure our staff, family and students have the tools they need and deserve to successfully navigate through life.

A fun fact about me is that I LOVE plants and cooking.
