About
This is my 5th year working at AoA, and I am so happy to have be a part of this incredible school!
I started working at AoA as a Kindergarten Classroom aide when the elementary school first opened in 2015. The following year, I moved up to first grade as a 1:1 aide for a student with special needs. After these two years, I left AoA, and attended Mills College to get my teaching credential. I was fortunate enough to then return to AoA as a first grade teacher in the fall of 2018. During my first year of teaching, I also earned my MA in Education from Mills College, and can finally say I am done being a formal student myself!
When I'm not on campus, you can usually find me somewhere either out in nature, with a good book, or possibly both. During summers I fill my time with camping, hiking, gardening, and generally soaking up the outdoors. My love of nature is one of the many things I hope to pass along to the students who pass through my classroom.
